Testing the Canon EOS 450D
For several days I have had occasion to test the new Canon EOS 450D and I have found a much more interesting than the passage of the 350D to the 400D . When the 400D came out I still had no reflex and I tested the 350D and 400D together. At the end concludes that just brought interesting news except the screen and an improved approach. However as starting from scratch, I ended up buying the 400D, but have had a 350D would have gone with it.
Now the 450D has many details that I liked a lot, especially in terms of ease of use. To highlight the move custom menu which can add up to six custom functions to choose from the menu options and Custom Functions. With this new menu will save much time looking for that function that you use regularly but Canon has stopped hiding after several pulses, such as mirror lockup.
Other small details that I liked:
- Value of ISO in the viewfinder and very accessible button.
- It adds the ability to format the card at a low level. In this way takes longer, but the photos are completely erased and can not be recovered.
- You can change the screen colors. Among them one way "negative" in which the background is black and white texts. No more glare in night photography .
- The material of the grip is improved.
- Added a basic intervalometer.
- The viewfinder is slightly larger.
And one that I liked:
- Canon strives to complicate access to some functions. The LiveView is controlled from two locations, in an activation and the reticle and other modes of focus.
- The LiveView limits some of the functions of the camera.
- Not including sRAW mode.
What I have done to convince the LiveView function. It's certainly something to use as an exception in specific cases, but I find it too slow and cumbersome. And that much of my photographs are made with a tripod and time, which is where the LiveView is in his element. Yet I recognize that in some photos having it can be the difference between being able or unable to do it. Not the first time I writhe on the floor to get to look through the viewfinder of the camera that I have placed below ground level .
For those who have doubts about the possible increase in noise, I must say that I have not been able to see any increase. Maybe ISO 1600 may notice a slight difference but so minimal that there must be. It has also added a noise reduction mode to high ISOS it seems to work pretty well.

And finally I link some pictures I took on day 17 in the opening parade of the Ninth Legislature . These are photos taken with the 18-55 IS kit and the usual work, ie revealed RAW and unsharp mask. The truth is that they are well cared because I was working and "I ran" with the parade, so I took some shots but could not entertain a lot while waiting for my companions, but serves as a sign of a button.

Interesting commentary on the EOS 450D
5 or 6 months ago that gave me. I really like, but the results do not like much.
The soil used to shoot a baby, usually in automatic mode, or when I want to leave the flash in P mode
The photos often blurry lately.
Any tips to prevent this from happening?
Greetings and thanks!
What you call "fuzzy" may be due to many things, from the quality of the target, up to speed, aperture or ISO that you used. Without seeing the photos is impossible to advise you.
The document super Currao and liked me a lot, also know that I made a good compra.Muchas thanks.
I was delighted to read your description, pq just bought the 2nd hand 450D has given much encouragement and m ...
I can hardly get the hang of handling, but mostly I trouble not being able to focus using Live View ... I read that you use the asterisk key, and you you comment that it is slow ... Why I can not?
If you read me, please ehcame a hand! I'll be eternally grateful!
Thousand hugs!
Hi Eve,
do not know why you can not focus. So, without seeing it, is impossible. Look In The manual that explains how.
